On November 17, 1971, on the 29 Palms Marine Corp Air Base in 29 Palms, California, just outside of Palm Springs, shortly before
10:00 AM, Staff Sargent Michael William Gibson leaned over to Dr. Winkler and said simply "If its not a boy, put it back."
His wife was just about to give birth to their first child. At 10:28 AM, Nora Dene Schoenberger-Gibson gave birth to a very pretty, 7 pounds 11 ounces baby girl. Dr. Winkler took a look at Staff Sargent Gibson and said "Well, I have to clean her up before I put her back, it might cause an infection" After cleaning up the baby and wrapping her up in a blanket, Dr. Winkler pointed the baby towards Nora's nether regions and looked over at Michael and said "Oh well, too late. The hole closed up." So, I was thus delivered by a complete smart ass. And my dad's disappointment at not getting a boy lasted all of five seconds. ~o~ They named me Ellen Marie Gibson, I started going by Marie when I was 16. The only people that are allowed to get away with calling me Ellen, are my Aunt Rosie (my dad's younger sister) and both of my grandmothers. Anyone else calling me Ellen who knows me personally, will die horribly.Okay, so you're wondering who the hell I am, other than some chick with a pretty colorful birth. Well, I'm crushedVelvet, Missy, Lil, and MissMarie, the New Wave Disco Hippie Queen, I am one of Billy Boyds many Loons (though my infatuation with him has cooled to a freezer level), Mike and Nora's daughter, William and Wendy's older sister, Auntie Me-Me to my nieces Elizabeth and Victoria and more importantly, Joanne and Quentin's mother. I have two adopted sisters, Jamie Amos (which means, technically, I have another niece named Anastasia and a nephew (finally) named Skyler) who moved to Florida last year, and my online adopted sister Kortnee Johnson, who lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I also have a foster brother named Mike, but I haven't seen him in about two years. I write poetry and song lyrics that will be posted on the site eventually, and stories (which may or may not). There will also be a pages of my family, my friends, a special section for my kids, and my many interests, a page dedicated to my fellow Loons, and another of my favorite men (I'm far from a ho, but I do love men), lyrics to my top favorite songs of all time, and whatever else I happen to think may amuse (or frighten people). ~o~ If there's anything you wanna see, or know or whatever, don't hesitate to contact me any of the following ways:
You could also try screaming. But I can't guarantee that would work much. |
